Pinewood Derby

The Pinewood Derby is a car racing event for Cub Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America. Cub Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from wood, they must use the official kits which contain a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles. Your den leader will give you the kit for your scout.

The rules, an entry form and checklist, and a handbook are available for down load from this page.

The event is held in late February, see the pack calendar for the specific date and time.

Siblings and parents are welcome to participate as well, but they must purchase their own kit (from the scout store or Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc).

There is a ton of information about pinewood derby that you kind find via Google.

Everyone should participate!
